Greatwood Golf Club. This par 72, 6829-yard course - 7 miles from the hotel - was ranked the best course in Texas by Gulf Coast Golfer in 1994. Designed to challenge all skill levels, this Sugar Land golf course features 77 white sand bunkers spread throughout its demanding design, and water hazards play on ten holes. Sienna Plantation Golf Club. Sienna Plantation is a par 72, 18-hole championship course with a generous layout that is lined with mature live oaks and cedar elms. The large greens are a challenge to put, guarded by strategically located bunkers, lakes and creeks. Hermann Park Golf Course. This newly-renovated, par 70 public course is now one of the finest municipal courses in Houston. The tree-lined fairways have been contoured and sculpted, adding plenty of mounding. The greens are spacious and well undulated, including some tiered designs. Greens fees range from $37 to $47. Memorial Park Golf Course. One of Houston’s most enjoyable public golf courses, Memorial Park is a par 72, 7164-yard course that features wide fairways, rolling terrain, large greens and water hazards on several holes. TPC at the Woodlands Resort & Country Club. Located in The Woodlands, this straightforward course has 80-foot pines and several lakes that pinch many holes. TPC is a par 72, 7018-yard golf course with small, fast greens and water hazards on six holes. Rated 90th of "Top 100 Courses You Can Play in the U.S” by GOLF Magazine in 1996, this outstanding public course is a PGA Tour Qualifier Site and the former home of the PGA’s Shell Houston Open, the Texas State Open Championship, and the 1989 USGA Women's Senior Amateur. Tour 18. This golfing complex is the ultimate golfer's challenge. Located in Humble, this facility offers a simulation of 18 of the greatest holes in the US, from the renowned #3 hole at Pinehurst to the sand bunkers shaped like Mickey Mouse's Ears on Disney's hole #6 to Doral's "Blue Monster." Using state-of-the-art computer technology, aerial photography and original blueprints, Tour 18 offer players an exact duplication of the most challenging holes in golf.
